Staff Accountant: Recruiting Services International, LLC is searching for a Staff Accountant for our client located in Jessup, MD.  This position will be responsible for the calculation, analysis and reporting of product line profitability, variance analysis, inventory valuation, and forecasting. Supply Chain Manager: Recruiting Services International has a fantastic job opportunity available in Madera, CA.  Our client is searching for a Supply Chain Manager, Materials Manager.

Position Highlights

The Supply Chain Manager has overall plant responsibility for production control, purchasing, inventory management, and shipping of finished product, in a lean manufacturing environment. This position offers guidance and direction to direct reports in resolving a wide range of issues. 

Understands Company’s Vision and Culture statement

Supports continuous improvement initiatives. Develops new and alternative processes to support the Supply Chain functions. Documents all processes, creating reference materials.

Maintains established 5S standards for work area.

Performs all duties in a safe manner, adhering to applicable safety rules and attends safety training.

Acts as a liaison between corporate Customer Service, Credit, Sales Representatives, Engineering, Suppliers and Customers to facilitate resolution of a wide range of issue to satisfy customer requirements. Offers support to his/her group, as needed, when dealing with various players in the supply chain. 

Manages the departmental budgets, and participates in the development of goals and strategies for all areas of responsibility.

Conducts performance evaluations, as well as, coaching and counseling sessions, for all direct and indirect reports.

Perform the management and control of Sarbanes – Oxley regulations for the plant. 

Production Control

Offers support to the Production Control Team Leader who is responsible for the plants master schedule for all product lines.

Oversees ordering of replacement parts.

Purchasing

Negotiates with vendors for all locally sourced goods and services, negotiating the best possible price and service guarantee. Reviews and awards bids to include establishing accounts and credit terms. 

Coordinates with the Corporate Materials Group to gather data needed to negotiate centralized vender contracts.

Offers support to the Inventory Materials Coordinator who is responsible for commodity procurement in support of plant operations.  Becomes involved in the resolution of supplier issues as needed.

Becomes involved to resolve material shortages determining root cause and appropriate corrective action.

 Inventory Management

Responsible for the monitoring and disposal of surplus and obsolete inventory.

Coordinates bi-annual plant wide physical inventory and verifies periodic inventory counts.

Offers support in managing the Stockroom and yard functions of the facility.

Develops and maintains an accurate inventory control system and process, and monitors accuracy.

Oversees Inter-company orders

Shipping

Offers support to the Shipping and Receiving Station Leader who is responsible for the shipping of units in accordance with customer requirements.

 

Qualifications

Four year Business Management/Operations/Engineering degree or related field of study.

Minimum 5-7 years production control/purchasing operation/supply chain management experience.

Experience with vendor management, supplier quality, scheduling and inventory management systems, Lean/continuous improvement initiatives.

Use of computer with Windows operating system, Microsoft Office Suites software and Lotus Notes.

Experience with People Soft, MANMAN systems preferred.

 This position reports to the Plant Manager, with some activities coordinated through Corporate materials staff.
